Monthly Mayhem 3.8 to 4.3 (August 2017)

Friday, August 18, 2017
So, it's been a year. I could apologize or have a long drawn out explanation but, I'm not going to. Suffice to say, I was busy and uninspired. But, now I am busting at the seams with inspiration. I figured I should begin with a bit of a life update.

August through October 2016
At some point, I found out I was pregnant! We had been trying for a little while so this was very exciting. I figured out how to video call my parents and told them after our first scan. (P.s. why does nobody tell you that first one is internal?! #notpreparedforthat)
In October we announced it to the rest of the world! Using our own parody of the Britney Spears song "...Baby One More Time".
I was exhausted the first trimester.

November 2016
We went to Europe!! Are we crazy? Absolutely. Was it worth it? Yes!  At 19 to 20 weeks pregnant John and I went to London, Barcelona, Rome and Venice. I'm thinking I'll make a seperate post all about that. So many stories to tell that I want to remember. John was incredibly patient with me, which I really appreciated. And I developed a taste for Italian/European Fanta and I will never be the same.

December 2016 through March 2017
Mba school madness. Last Veterans United Christmas party.  Pregnancy brain. Cankles.  Swollen everywhere. Getting ready for our baby. Tired, emotional, and more tired.
Our sweet baby girl arrived March 30th 2017 after 11 hours of labor. We were instantly in love.

April 2017
Baby G was officially on the scene. It was a crazy first month. She was (and is) healthy but I was (and am) new to this whole mom business. Let me tell you... it changes everything. I was incredibly anxious those first few weeks but luckily my mother and mother in law took turns staying with us and that helped immensely. I can never thank them enough!

May through August 2017
I'm pretty sure we won the jackpot when it comes to cute babies. I officially quit my job and became a stay at home mom.
But wait, there's more! John officially quit his job and enrolled full time for his MBA at Vanderbilt ... and we moved to Nashville!
We now have a squirmy, rolling (!!!), teething baby and a small but perfect for us apartment. John has officially started classes; and we have officially eaten the best pizza ever. (In Nashville of all places! Five Points Pizza)

Also, we had our second no baby date night and went to the Straight No Chaser/Post Modern Jukebox concert. #worthit

I am truly excited to see where this year will take us.

Monthly Mayhem: 3.7 (July 2016)

Saturday, August 13, 2016
photo 8bb9e93d-ef70-4113-8ca8-1ce2b7d16d9a_zps84349199.jpg I've been so absent. Work has been super busy. I get home exhausted.

So, besides work being insane, not much else has happened.

I baked bread for my second time ever! It turned out delicious. I think I may get the hang of this!

photo bread_zpsslxpsrev.jpg I knit an adorable pumpkin hat for a co-worker at work's baby. I hope I'll get to see a picture of the baby in it as some point!

photo pumpkin hat_zpsqpbelpdp.jpg I am still loving knitmoregirls podcast!

John and I are still playing Pokemon Go... he is a much higher level than I am but, guess who has the Pikachu?

I am learning to crochet! That has been an adventure!

I've also been re-watching Gilmore Girls.... apparently, I missed most of season 3. Who knew?

Monthly Mayhem 3.0

Saturday, June 4, 2016
Wow.
It has been a hot minute since I have done a Monthly Mayhem. But, as my recent post suggests, this is really what it is all about. Just a quick note, you may notice some changes around the blog... mostly because I can't remember where I stored anything...like color codes and watermark pictures (oops!). Also, since we have been together 3 years (that's insane, by the way!) I figured it is time to stop counting months. So, 3.0 for our anniversary month and next May will be 4.0 and so on... alright, now on to the good stuff.

3 Years photo 3 Years Collage_zpsagf9sl5r.jpg

May was actually a pretty crazy month. We are both crazy busy at work as we head into the "busy season" of the mortgage industry.  As an Account Manager 2 that equals a lot of overtime for me! He is still capped at 2 hours of overtime a week as a Credit Consultant... lucky ducky.

The biggest news this month is that John graduated! Wooohoo!!! The current plan does involve more school for him in the future, but for now, we will enjoy the break that this provides. Oh yeah, and he graduated with a 4.0 GPA!

But... before graduation commenced we of course had to go see Captain America: Civil War the opening day. Made for a bit of a busy weekend but it was so worth it. I can't get over how much I loved this movie. Captain America is my all time favorite super hero.

Captain America Tickets photo Captain America Tix Fn_zpsnpwnatsg.jpg

Which would explain why even though I got the Captain America shirt you see in the collage for my birthday in April, I have already worn it at least 5 times. I literally have to force myself not to wear it every day. Thanks Kohls!

John and I have also really gotten into puzzles recently. Actually, what happened is that I was cleaning our extra bedroom and I found a puzzle that I had bought for him while we were dating. I was tired of it just sitting in the closet so I said, hey lets put this together.... and now it is hanging up in our bedroom! We decided if we were going to spend a lot of time and effort on a puzzle we weren't just going to put it back in the box!

Which also lead to our next puzzle... we were looking up puzzles on Amazon that we could frame when completed and we came across this gorgeous Thomas Kinkade puzzle. We finally finished it but can I just say going from a 750 piece puzzle to a 1500 piece puzzle is not the best idea in the world?

Puzzle Collage photo Puzzle Collage_zpshopdkgfe.jpg

Despite the fact that it took ages to complete and it was pretty difficult (John has sworn of Thomas Kinkade puzzles indefinitely) I am so happy with how it turned out. It is now hanging up in our kitchen and I love it.

Is it weird to have your house decorated in puzzles? I hope not because.... that's the plan.

Personal Accomplishments this month:

I finished Personal Progress as a leader.
I also made this Batman Cup Cozy for a friend. I actually (sort of?) came up with the pattern myself by using a perler bead pattern for the bat signal and modifying a cup cozy pattern.

As it is our anniversary month... and I haven't done one of these since 2014 (seriously??) I'd like to take a look back at the 3rd year. A lot has changed. I feel that John and I have both grown immensely and I am really proud of the people we have become. I am extremely lucky to have John for a husband, I am not a mother but he had chocolate covered strawberries delivered to me at work since I will be a future mother someday. How sweet??I want to continue to grow... I know I for one  have a lot to work on but, I am excited to be able to do it with my best friend at my side.

Monthly Mayhem: The Greenwood's 17th and 18th Month!

Friday, December 5, 2014
So, I was bad and didn't post anything for October! Ooops! I would like to say its because we've been to busy with school and work but... I'm always busy with school and work. I'm not really sure what it was because I do enjoy blogging. Perhaps I just needed a break.

 photo octoberampNovembermonthlymayhem_zps0386de07.jpg
October

Anyways, October was pretty chill. We did a couple of awesome things though.

We watched General Conference, a world-wide event where we hear from modern day prophets. Don't worry if you missed it, there is one in April too, and it happens every year.

Our kitty cat even got into it.
 photo kittycatwatchesprophet_zps8316a849.jpg
We also bought ourselves a (very) early Christmas presents... drumroll please....

photo bikes_zpsa35bf633.jpg Tada! Can you guess which one is mine?

I also got to see my lovely mother! I had a week off of work so we went down to Osage Beach and got a bunch of stuff for my fall decor. It really ended up being a centerpiece and a table runner.

photo centerpiece_zps915f5e3c.jpg I really love the way it turned out. I'm going to change a few things around and use it for winter! Btw, table runners are a pretty sweet invention. Like, whoever thought of that... high five!

The rest of October was pretty much same as normal. Though, I don't mind normal as long as I have a little spice here and there. Although, I'm not sure if Winter Beckett feels the same... This is her, I'm so done with today face...

November

So, in November I got some new glasses.
 photo newglasses_zps687fb4b9.jpg

My parents and grandparents came over for Thanksgiving and we had a fabulous time. We mostly played "Heads Up," cooked, and ate a ton of good food. Anybody need turkey? I still have plenty! But seriously, if you  have not downloaded "Heads Up" yet, please do. Its a free app on your phone that is a little like "Taboo". It is so much fun to play, especially with a group. The descriptions people give and the answers people give add up for some great hilarity!

photo catinabasket_zps326cafa2.jpg Castle loved my parents so much he wanted to go home with them!

On Thanksgiving night John and I bundled up and went to Best Buy. John wanted to get an X-Box one with his bonus money and they had the best deal so on we went. We also went to Wal-Mart and Target. I think we could have totally skipped Wal-Mart but there ya go, you live and you learn.

photo thanksgivingdayshopping_zps30061a88.jpg We went a little crazy with the dvds, but I regret nothing. Especially the one on the top of the pile!

photo dvdextravaganza_zps6de4f8fd.jpg At the end of November I received some very exciting news: I was offered a job at Veterans United Home Loans as a Setup Specialist! I am very excited for this opportunity and next phase in my life!

I hope you all are having a wonderful holiday season!

Monthly Mayhem: The Greenwood's 16th Month

Tuesday, October 7, 2014
 photo monthlymayhem_zpseba2441d.jpg
I'm a little late on the uptake this month but I have an excuse... September was the Month of sickness!
John totally got both of us sick and we were out for about a week! That may not sound like much seeing as we don't have kids and such but, it made us get a little behind on our homework.

So the last of was spent playing catch up at home, work, and school. But I think we've made it through and are back to a normal routine. While I was sick I did find a new show to watch: Revenge! It is really good so far, I'm hooked! No spoilers, please I'm only on the first season.
 photo september2014_zps94f4ebdb.jpg

Before we got sick we went on a double date night (okay, okay, afternoon...) to see the Maze Runner and get some Andy's Frozen Custard. The movie was fabulous and there was a slight mishap at Andy's but their customer service handled it beautifully.

Not a whole lot else happened in the month of September. We are ready for our week off of school coming up and all of our shows coming back! :) I really need to catch up on Vampire Diaries!

I love this time of year so I am hopeful for October. I can't wait to see what it brings and eat my weight in pumpkin flavored goodness!

Monthly Mayhem: The Greenwood's 15th Month!

Thursday, September 4, 2014
Wow. I can't believe I haven't been on here since my last monthly update. I am sorry about that! I promise to try to be better in the future. August came and went very quickly! I don't have a lot of pictures this month!

photo monthlymayhem_zpseba2441d.jpg We started school, and my, how I miss summer! ha. We both have a lot of reading to do so, most of our time goes to that, which isn't awesome but, at least we are getting smarter! One step closer to graduating with a degree!

John also was still having some stomach issues and had to get some procedures done. They have finally figured out what has been going on so, hopefully we can find the solution as well.

Although school has kind of taken over our lives, I'm still knitting up a storm. I can't wait to share my creations with you! Some are even my own design (or at least, manipulation/ hodgepodge of other designs. But, that's how you learn, right?)

We finally got our towel rack in our bathroom re-installed (it was pulling out of the wall, yikes!) and our bathroom put back together. Such a relief! Call me materialistic or spoiled but I love having a towel rack! Makes my life so much easier... and honestly, just looks better.

We discovered a new game that we love. Its called "Heads Up" and you can download it on your smart phone. Its basically like Taboo but, without the annoying buzzer and specific categories. It is so much fun!

This month I also stopped doing #100HappyDays... for the second time, though this time it intentional. I stopped doing it because instead of making me happy, it was actually kind of a burden and a source of stress, which is silly I know! But for some reason, I was feeling overwhelmed by it, which is pretty much the opposite of the intention so, I decided it was better just to cut it short.

photo 1409865995884_zpsebcccb05.jpg I am trying to be better at managing my time so that I can do work, school, and blogging at least weekly without completely loosing my mind.  Do any of you have amazing time management tips? I can find a bunch, but I haven't really found any where that talks about managing your time being a blogger/having a full time job/ being a full time student. I'd love any tips I can get!

Monthly Mayhem: The Greenwood's 14th Month!

Monday, August 4, 2014
July just flew by didn't it?

We were pretty boring this month as far as updates go! Nothing much has changed, we are just living our life and loving it.

We went down to my grandparents house for the fourth of July and got to watch some f pretty awesome fireworks!

I learned how to crochet (a little).

We went on a impromptu double date with some great friends! We had sushi and then went bowling... yes, we are that awesome!

My blog went through a little makeover with help from the site designyourownblog.com

July was our last month without school! It was nice while it lasted!

I'm trying to come up with a name for an Etsy shop to sell my knitting... any ideas? I'm thinking my main knitting pieces will be pop culture/geek/nerd inspired, think Comic Con meets Mean Girls meets girly housewife.

Sorry to be so short this month but that's about it! I can't wait to see what next month has in store for us!

Monthly Mayhem: The Greenwood's 13th Month!

Monday, July 7, 2014
 photo monthlymayhem_zps6721b3d3.jpgWow.
I cannot believe that it is already the 7th of July! Time has really flown. Before you know it, it will be time for John and I to go back to school. In fact, we register for classes in just a few days!

Even though time flew by this June, it was pretty uneventful.

John had to deal with his stomach issues... still. He has had to chance medications several times but now we are back to the one that works! Woo! Here's to being able to eat tomato sauce again! You know, you never really realize how much you eat a particular food product until you (or your husband) can't have it anymore.

I have been diligently working away on knitting Christmas presents for my family and some very close friends. I've been making pretty good progress, and I can't wait to share them all with you after the holidays. I know that's a long way but stick with me! I don't want any surprises to be spoiled because somebody "accidentally" saw their present on my blog!

John was applying for some internships but did not quite make the deadline for college credit, which is probably good because he got a new calling at church that will probably take up quite a bit of time!

We started and finished "The Glades" on Netflix (which is this really awesome show about a homicide detective) only to find out that it has a horrible ending because it was cancelled way before its time.

A lot of our shows that we love to watch together got cancelled this month (or at least, we found out about it this month), Revolution probably being the most upsetting. Especially sense it was obviously cancelled without much notice and ended with zero closure!

John started P90x up again! He's going strong! He has worked out everyday (with the exception of one sick day and on Sundays) for two weeks.  It may not seem like much, but this is what it takes to build a habit and he seems pretty dedicated.

I restarted my #100happydays project, which you can follow on my instagram or sign up for yourself at 100happydays.com

Not a whole lot has happened this past month, but it has kind of been nice to relax a little bit. I look forward to finishing out the summer strong in July.

The Greenwood's Twelveth Month

Monday, June 2, 2014
 photo monthlymayhem_zps6721b3d3.jpg

We made it!

John and I have made it through an entire year of being married! A lot has happened this year... I invite you to stroll down memory lane and take a look at all the Monthly Mayhem's that led up to this.

This month we finished school for the summer, and John is searching high and low for an internship for the summer session.

We were able to attend our friends wedding reception, which was awesome. I even got to dance a little. I cannot tell you how much I miss swing dancing! If any body knows of a cheap/free place to swing dance in Columbia let me know!

John continued to have health issues this month. So much so that he had to get a colonoscopy.  While that was no fun, we are glad that he had that procedure because the doctor found something that could have been life threatening down the road!  We think we have finally figured out what was causing him so much pain and he is on some medicine that should make him feel better. Just no highly acidic foods until it's over!

We had the pleasure of attending two barbecues over Memorial Day weekend.  One with John's work friends, and one with church friends. I got a little emotional thinking of all of the men and women who have died to keep us safe and free.
 photo 8724f8b2-2d57-409c-b58e-3922a4f81222_zpsfee1f6bf.jpg
We celebrated our one year anniversary by getting sealed in the St.Louis temple and then going to The Melting Pot. All in all, it was a pretty spectacular day and made me remember how much I really do love my husband.

Here's to us to making it another twelve  months and beyond! Join us on this journey by following my blog on facebook, blogger, bloglovin or by email.

Monthly Mayhem: The Greenwood's 11th Month

Wednesday, May 7, 2014
 photo monthlymayhem_zps6721b3d3.jpg
Happy May everybody!

One more month to go until John and I reach our one year anniversary! I'm so excited! :) We may annoy each other sometimes, but I wouldn't trade this life for anything!

Alright, alright, I'll stop with the mush! What were we up to in April, you ask? Well...

> I was offered a job at Providence bank and I said yes! So now I am a full time teller! Training was a little scary and a lot to take in but I am loving it. I'm still getting the hang of things and getting used to full time hours but its going well. I love my team so that helps a lot!

> John has been dealing with some health issues. :(

> We started a gutter garden! I'm excited to see what happens!! We planted cilantro, snow peas, green beans, chives, and green onions!
 photo d53050a7-3904-4392-a21d-73e4309c2714_zps376e5895.jpg

> John had to mow for the first time since we bought the house. He wasn't too happy about it but he powered through like the trooper he is and it looks great :)

> School, school, school.

> We had a BBQ and game night which was super fun but we cooked way too much food! I didn't cook
like the rest of the month! ... Oh yeah, we bought a grill!

> I celebrated my 21st birthday! No huge bash, just a chill night at home with a friend playing Glee karaoke!
John even baked me a cake! It was good... but we may leave the baking to me from now on! (It was a little runny in the middle!)

 photo 9e9138e7-bae1-4b94-be53-77e9be95a2e7_zps55daea6f.jpg
> I went on a shopping spree with some birthday money and fun money. It was awesome. One of my favorite purchases? These shoes...

 photo 100MEDIAIMAG0726_zps5f612f67.jpg
Alright, I think that's all folks! School will be out for summer soon so, you should be expecting me a little more often! I have a lot of ideas, but let me know what you want to see/read in the comments below!

Monthly Mayhem: The Greenwood's Tenth Month

Wednesday, April 9, 2014
 photo monthlymayhem_zps6721b3d3.jpg
Ten months, guys. TEN MONTHS. We are only two, count them.... one... two... months away from one whole year! That is beyond crazy to me.

We don't have  a whole lot to share this month. Things have been going well for us and we couldn't be more grateful.

The main thing that happened this March was that we finally received our sectional! And its a beauty. Oddly enough, it was actually cheaper for us to buy it at a discount store online and have it delivered than it was to buy it at outlet stores here. Besides, once we saw this one our hearts were kind of set on it.
 photo sectional_zpsf99f61d7.jpg
Obviously, this big hunk of furniture required a new set up! I love it, even though it makes our living room feel a little smaller, its more sectioned off now so our mini "office" area is actually separate from our living room. I don't have pictures of that but you should be able to catch my drift.

 photo SectionalCollage_zps3a246c95.png
We also bought and set up a Patio set for our screened in porch! :) That may or may not have actually happened in February and I forgot to tell you. But yes! Pictures soon. One of the chair legs was broken and we have to get a replacement. When that happens you can be sure there will be pictures!

March was super stormy. Though luckily, just with the weather and not with our personal lives! But seriously, snow after the official first day of Spring? No thank you! Though, knock on wood, I think the weather has finally decided that its spring. Hooray!

Other than that...

I've been continuing to work on my knitting. (Keep your eye out for a post soon!)

John's been really taking the "Let Your Husband Play Video Games" seriously and playing League of Legends quite a bit... somehow it's relaxing?

We continued to have swell jobs.

and... we've both been hitting the books. Today is actually John's midterms! Good luck to him! I don't have any midterms this session (lucky me, I know!).

I promise to get better at these.... and take more pictures! Perhaps a monthly collage?

Also, let me know what you would like to see in future posts, not just Monthly Mayhems! I'd like to post more than just "The Perfect Music For..." and "High Five for Fridays" on a regular basis as those are kind of fillers. But they are just so much fun! My goal is to make this an enjoyable experience for you and me, and to consistently improve! I'd love your feedback.

Monthly Mayhem: The Greenwood's Ninth Month!

Tuesday, March 11, 2014
 photo monthlymayhem_zps6721b3d3.jpg

I'm a little late on getting this up, and I feel as if February was so long ago.

February was a short month but plenty of things happened!

- We started car shopping

- We decided on and bought a sectional (On clearance! Didn't get it till March though so, you'll have to wait to see what it looks like ;) )

- We were in our last leg of the January session at school.

- Valentines Day! John got me an awesome sugar scrub for my hands and an IOU for a date at the Melting Pot in St. Louis.

- I got him a personalized cookie jar. (Because of a video. They asked a couple how they stayed together so long and the guy said, "because she keeps the cookie jar full!")

- Our good friends had a baby and she is adorable! It gave me  a little bit of baby fever but I know, I know.... degree first, then babies.

- We bought a treadmill (and set it up ourselves, mind you... well, okay, John did most all of the heavy lifting and assembly... but I helped! Kinda)

- I started this awesome challenge called 100 Days of Happiness.

I can't figure out if my memory is bad or if February really was that uneventful. March will be much more exciting... It has been already! I feel like February just set us up for a fun and awesome March.

P.S. It feels like Spring is here! Please let it be so!

Monthly Mayhem: The Greenwood's Eighth Month!

Friday, January 31, 2014
 photo monthlymayhem_zps6721b3d3.jpg

I don't know about you guys, but I feel like this month just flew by!
We've been pretty busy around here but not a whole lot has changed except... drumroll please!

WE GOT OUR SECOND CAT, Castle! :)
It took awhile to get him adjusted (he didn't eat for the first three days, and then Winter Beckett got sick!) but, he is thriving now and getting into all sorts of mischief.

Like, making a nest in my Victoria's Secret bag.

... and eating paper towels for some reason?

But, Winter Beckett and Castle seem to be getting along swell.

Aren't they adorable?!
They are super cuddly and we love them!
Even if they eat each others food...
Other than that, we started school back up again.
We're still in the process of doing taxes... okay, well John is doing our taxes. And in the process of organizing all of our documents and creating a system.
I've been knitting up a storm thanks to my good friend Biz (check out her etsy) and some Christmas money!

Can't wait to see what February has in store for us!

Hello all!
I know this is a little late but hey, better late than never.
Here's to the month of December being over!
It wasn't a bad one per-sey but I personally just did a lot of silly things that were totally preventable had I been paying attention.
Alas, we had some great times in December.
-We were out of school
-We decorated for Christmas
-We made Christmas cookies to share
- We found a really great show called The Breakout Kings on Netflix
-We got to see both of our families for Christmas
- We got a bunch of great Christmas presents (thanks, everyone!)
-But the biggest thing that happened, we got a kitty cat named Winter Beckett! She is the cutest little thing ever and we are so happy to have her! She is a European Burmese.

Monthly Mayhem: The Greenwood's Six Month!

 photo monthlymayhem_zps6721b3d3.jpg

Hello lovely people!
I'm am so excited that I can officially say that John and I have been married now for SIX MONTHS! That's crazy! And I grow more and more in love with him everyday (even if he drives me crazy sometimes ;) )
- Convinced John to watch Sherlock and we both love it! Why are there only six episodes?! We need more!!!

- I am no longer a stay at home Wifey! I was able to snag a job at a book distributor! Woohoo! That was definitely a blessing.

- We may or may not have gotten a super awesome deal on a tv. (Gotta love open box specials!!)

- We made it through midterms!
- I started learning how to knit, thanks to my good friend Biz.
- We saw Catching Fire the day it came out. See my review here.
- We registered for classes next semester and figured out how long it will take for us to graduate! (I should be able to graduate by summer 2015! :) )
- We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at our house! (Our first Thanksgiving together and our first Thanksgiving in the new house!)
- John totally kicked butt at Beyond Balderdash!
- We stood in line at Best Buy on Thanksgiving night to get a super awesome deal on a printer, and while we were there we got an awesome deal on a desktop computer! It was hectic but we made the employee's day by being happy and positive!
In line outside Best Buy!

- We did some more Black Friday shopping the next day.
- Had a very nice time relaxing and getting to spend time together

Can't wait for next month. I'm most excited about putting up our Christmas tree and giving John his Christmas presents! :)

P.S. I really need to start taking more pictures. I'm thinking a picture collage to showcase each month sounds like a great idea :)

So, its been quite a busy month! But here's to many more wonderful months together. We may drive each other crazy sometimes but, in the end, we love each other more than anything, and that's what counts.
I can't wait to see what month 6 brings! It being our first 6 month mark in November, we should celebrate, right? ;)

Now, I have a question for you! Do you like these posts in list form or story form better? Leave your answers in the comments below!

Monthly Mayhem: The Greenwood's Third Month

Thursday, August 29, 2013
Hello there!
It is the last Thursday of the month... can you guess what that means?
Yep! Our monthly update!

This month was fairly non-stressful... until the last two weeks that is!

On August 19th, John and I both started our evening classes at Columbia College. It's only two classes but, they are about 2-2.5 hours each, 2 nights a week. (We even have a class together!)
That plus a 40 hour work week makes for some tired Greenwoods.
And then, John received some news from the company that we work for...
his department has to go through additional training/testing so that they can continue to receive bonuses.
This basically means that he gets to study and take a webinar at work, study at home, and go to school.
Fun stuff right?
There is one positive thing about it though: He is temporarily in my building!
I know that it wouldn't really work in the long run, but since it is only for two weeks, I like that he can pop up and see me for a moment or two. It brightens my day!
Our plans to get a house by mid-October are going very well! I don't want to go to much into it though because I don't want to jinx it!
We've been kind of boring lately because we've been so busy with school and work...
or just too tired to do much of anything else.
It's not that we're anti-social, we promise!

Monthly Mayhem: The Greenwood's Second Month

We successfully made it through our second month as a married couple!
Not that I was worried, but its still exciting and new to me.
So, here's been whats happening this month:

Veteran's United: In case you didn't already know... I GOT A JOB! I am currently an In House Assistant at Veterans United Home Loans. Its an amazing company and I would wish working for this company on anyone. They treat their employees very well and expect their employees to treat customers well. I love it! Its technically a temporary position though, so I am looking into more permanent options because trust me: once you're in this company, you will not want out!

Conquering Candy Crush Civilization : So, this month my husband has been obsessed with two games: Civilization 5 (thanks Elliot) and Candy Crush Saga (and thank you Mike!). In case you don't know Civilization 5 is a PC game where you build a civilization and try to conquer the world... I haven't actually played it but, I do know that it takes forever to finish a game.

Home Sweet Home: We are in the process of looking at/buying a house! I don't want to go into too much detail or anything but, this is super exciting! We are very ready to have a place that we can call are own. And I'll be honest, I'm just really excited to be able to decorate the place! :) (We are very limited in what we can do in the condo right now). We know that buying a house is a big deal but, it is an investment and a step we both feel ready to make. If everything works out we should be in a new home by the end of the year!

That's it for this month! Next month we will start to be crazy busy (because we're not busy enough as it is, apparently)! I will be starting to do posts on a schedule so let me know if you have a preference on what day or if I should update once or twice a week!

A little over a month ago, I married my best friend.
Quite a few shenanigans have happened since!

First and foremost, we went on a cruise for our honeymoon!
It was great! We were on Royal Caribbean and went to Nasau, CocoCay, and Key West! It was so pretty! We had a blast and even won a marriage game show!(What happens on the cruise, stays on the cruise!) We took a lot of pictures but, we haven't gotten them developed yet! I'm sure I'll have to share them when we get them though!

Apart from the honeymoon, I continued searching for a job, and there are some options that are looking good! John is back at work and loving it! We are so blessed that he has a job with easily the most amazing company in Columbia!

There has been some stress we have adjusted to married life and as I've adjusted to being a housewife. But, overall, it has been an amazing first month, and I am excited for many more!
